This air fryer pop tarts recipe is an easy and delicious way to make a favorite childhood treat. They come out perfectly flaky and crispy!
Pop Tart – 1 sheet premade refrigerated pie crust – ½ cup strawberry jam Frosting – 1 cup powdered sugar – 2 tablespoons milk – 1 tablespoon sprinkles
Remove pie crust from packaging and lay it out flat on a lightly floured surface or on a cutting board. Use a rolling pin, and roll the pie crust into a large rectangular shape on a flat surface. Use a pizza cutter or knife to cut dough rectangles, about 3x5 inches.
Next, spoon about 1 tablespoon of jam into the center of each rectangle, gently spreading, leaving about a ¼ inch border around the edges. Be careful to not overfill or it will leak out in your air fryer.
Cover the bottom piece with a top piece of pastry. Pinch all edges together and seal them with a fork. Use the fork to poke holes in the pastry for ventilation while it cooks.
Air fry at 350 degrees F for 8-10 minutes, until the edges are crispy golden brown. Allow to cool before glazing or eating pastry.
