This Air Fryer Fish and Chips has delicious flavors and makes a super crispy fish. It is a classic comfort food dish that comes out perfect every time without the mess of using a deep fryer!
– ¾ cup all purpose flour – 2 teaspoons smoked paprika – ½ teaspoon garlic powder – ½ teaspoon sea salt – ½ teaspoon ground black pepper – 1 large egg – ½ cup panko breadcrumbs – 1 pound cod filet, cut into strips – ½ teaspoon olive oil spray
Dredge the fish in the flour mixture and shake off the excess flour, then dip in egg mixture and lastly into the breadcrumb mixture, pressing down lightly so the breadcrumbs adhere to the fish (shake off any excess batter).
– Place each fillet on a baking sheet until dredging all the fish is complete. – Spray both sides of the seasoned fish fillets with cooking spray. – Place the cod fish strips into the air fryer basket in a single layer, be sure not to overcrowd. – Air fry at 400 degrees F for 10-12 minutes, flipping the fish halfway through the cooking process, until they are crispy and golden brown.
