These Air Fryer Dill Pickles are scrumptious crispy snacks that are cooked to golden perfection every time. This is an incredibly tangy dish to take to a summer barbecue or pool party.
– 16 Pickle Spears – ½ cup all purpose flour – 2 large eggs – 1 Tablespoon water – ¼ teaspoon hot sauce such as Tabasco – 1 ½ cups panko breadcrumbs – ½ teaspoon ground black pepper – ½ teaspoon dried dill – 1 teaspoon olive oil cooking spray
Drain pickles in a strainer and pat them dry with paper towels to remove the excess juice. In a small bowl add flour. Use a second bowl to whisk eggs, water, and hot sauce together.
In a medium bowl combine the breadcrumbs, black pepper, and dried dill. Dredge the pickles in the flour mixture (shake off any excess flour), then dip into the egg mixture and lastly into the breadcrumbs. Coated pickle slices should be covered evenly.
Spray each pickle with cooking spray and place them in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
Cook for 5 minutes, flip and cook for an additional 4-6 minutes or until crispy and golden brown.n.
